Airdrie Golf Club recognises the importance of affording equal opportunity and equal treatment to all present and potential employees, members, volunteers and visitors, and is committed to promoting equality for all.
Policy Aims
To ensure that everyone who participates at Airdrie Golf Club, in whatever capacity, irrespective of gender, appearance, race, colour, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, age, sexual preference, disability or some other characteristic, receives fair and equitable treatment. To ensure that the format and content of all competitions, regulations and activities promote equal opportunity for all, except where specific situations and conditions prevent this.
To ensure that all material prepared, produced and distributed by or on behalf of Airdrie Golf Club promotes a clear image of diversity within the activities of the club.
To clarify Airdrie Golf Club’s commitment to equality to everyone associated with the club. Discrimination, Harassment and Victimisation. Airdrie Golf Club accepts that it has a legal obligation not to discriminate against its employees or allow its employees to be bullied or harassed either directly or indirectly. Airdrie Golf Club will ensure that its employees, volunteers, members and visitors are able to conduct their activities free from direct or indirect discrimination, harassment and inappropriate behaviour. All paid staff, volunteers, members and visitors have a responsibility to respect, act in accordance with, support and promote the spirit and intentions of this policy.
A copy of this policy will be made available to all paid staff, volunteers and members and will form part of the club’s staff and volunteer induction programme.
A copy of this policy will be available on the Club website and a hard copy will be prominently displayed on the club’s main notice board.
Compliance
Airdrie Golf Club will investigate any alleged breaches of this policy in accordance with its Code of Conduct,
Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures and, where an allegation is upheld, take action under these procedures
as it deems fit.
